ASME Region XI Spring Combined Conferences was held in Miami, Florida on April 3-6, 2003. ASME Florida International University (FIU) Student Section organized the conference with the assistance of University of Miami (UM) Student Setion and the ASME Miami Section. Well, welcome to Miami... Here is Thursday night, April 3. The Mystery Design night. We are at Biscayne Bay Marriott in Watson Island and everybody is trying to design the fastest boat ever built. Welcome to Miami... Thanks to Michael Sauble for organizing this event. Rosey Martinez was our host along with Elena Maldonado who set up the room and organized 5-people teams. The day started earlier with a tour of the Airbus Flight Simulator Training Facility. We were able to get into the Airbus A-320s in three smaller groups and take a tour of Miami, live through a simulation of "engine on fire" condition and land back in MIA International safely...
