ME Design I Competition

ME students attempted to solve one of the ASME Design Competition problems in Fall 2001: Construction of an all-terrain vehicle that will travel on water as well as inclined rocky and glassy surfaces. The vehicle is to be powered by two standard rubber bands.

The competition was held at the EAS Cafeteria and eight judges evaluated the design, performance and team spirit. The jury members were as follows: Jeff Shaw (ASME Miami President), Carmen Schenck (ME Advisor), Julian Bedoya (ASME President), Deliana Castro (previous ASME Vice President), Rosalee Martinez (ME undergrad), Shibu Korula (TA), Sergio Acevedo (ME Senior) and Dr. Sabri Tosunoglu. This is how everybody looked.
