Mission:
These laboratories are used for the fabrication
of hybrid microcircuits and the development
of new ceramic packaging concepts and materials.
They have the complete manufacturing capabilities
for thick film and low temperature co-fire
ceramic multi-layer packages. Additionally,
printed circuit card fabrication is supported.

MPM
Model 100 semi-automatic screen printer.
Computerized 1600 °C hydrogen furnace.
Manual wire bonder and
pick and place machines.
Class 100 clean hoods.
Box and tube furnaces.
High temperature tube furnace.
Video-capture and long focal length cameras for in-situ monitoring of ceramic
firing processes.
Iso-static laminator.
Uniaxial laminator press.
Parallel lap grinder.
Various diamond saws.
Students: Three undergraduate students and
five graduate students work in the laboratory. |
