Room(s): EAS 3620
Area: 200 sq. ft.
Faculty: Dr. Yong Tao
Mission:
Fundamentals and applications of heat transfer,
mass transfer, fluid flow transport phenomena
encountered in multiphase systems, including
freezing, melting, evaporation, and micro-scale
convection. Theoretical and numerical analyses
include computational fluid dynamics modeling,
multiphase modeling porous media modeling and
phase change modeling. Current projects include
frosting/defrosting modeling on finned heat
exchanger surfaces, convective melting of packed
beds, super-compact micro-cooling systems,
modeling of aircraft/wind turbine icing, and
micro/nano fluid flow phenomena.
