Production line balance of Pacer Section where manual insertion of parts is conducted.
Pacer Section: study of the production line of predetermined order on the manual insertion of parts. Achieved line balance of this department through time studies using a stopwatch. Utilization of each machine was determined by work sampling techniques.
ABC Distributing September 1996 to December 1996
Created a new building layout for warehouse facility incorporating consolidation of 7 storage buildings into one central location. Also included was distribution of office space and layout of rack, pallet and bulk inventory sections of the facility.
Trends Clothing Corporation January 1997 to April 1997
Performed analysis of production costs associated with the touch up department where all of the labor is manual. Based on analysis of the operations, gave management suggestions to reduce costs associated with this department.
