  1. Applied Research in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ARISE)

    • NASA has established a long term, self sustainable combined research and educational program at Florida International University.  This program has been funded through Industrial and Systems Engineering.  The research has targeted women, Hispanics, African Americans, and other underrepresented minorities to engineering, and ultimately NASA related career paths.  This has been the primary mission for the ARISE program.
  2. Research and Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

    • The Research Experience for Undergraduates Program at Florida International University is an opportunity for undergraduates from around the country to participate in exciting research projects while learning valuable skills.  Participants will be matched with a project in the area of Industrial and Systems Engineering that interests them the most.  Participants will attend training seminars in research basics, professionalism, presentation skills, personal ethics, global ethics, literature review skills, library research skills, library databases, and computer tools.  Participants are paid for five hours per week during the school year and thirty hours per week during the summer.
