Areas of Interest: The relationship of micro- and macro-level variables to entrepreneurial strategies and firm success.  The relationship of micro- and macro-level factors of family business with emphasis on cross-cultural aspects.  The international entrepreneurship and regional economic development. The analyses of strategy and complex organizational behaviors and their relationship to personality factors.  Transfer of technology and university based research to entrepreneurial firms.

Dr. Carsrud is currently a Clinical Professor of Management

in the Chapman Graduate School of Business and 

Professor in the Department of Industrial & Systems 

Engineering, College of Engineering at Florida International 

University. He is also the executive Director of the Global 

Entrepreneurship Center and Innovation and its institutes.

Before coming to FIU, Dr. Carsrud served as the Senior 

Lecturer in Technology Entrepreneurship in Electrical 

Engineering teaching and directing the graduate

Entrepreneurship for Engineers Program in Henry 

Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at 

UCLA.
