Dr. Berrin Tansel, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering wins the 2006 Kauffman Professor Award from the Entrepreneurial Academy of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center. She was one of this year's 4 winners from a total of 20 proposals. Her project is related to the environmental entrepreneurship integration. She also heads a group of researchers at FIU from the Civil and Environmental Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center to seek external funding from EPA for an environmental entrepreneurship program at FIU.
