Atkins Minority Scholarship Program Application
CRITERIA
·
Student must be a United Sates Citizen, or permanent resident of African American, Asian, Pacific Island, Native
American, Native Alaskan or Hispanic decent seeking a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

Student must have completed at least sixty (60) credit hours of college work prior to submission of this application
and maintain a 2.5 grade point average, or better.
·
Student must also be enrolled in classes for the Fall and enrolled and in attendance through the Spring.
·
Applicant is expected to be attending a college or university that is a beneficiary of the Atkins Minority Engineering
Scholarship Award, and be a full-time, day-time student. A full-time undergraduate student must be carrying a
minimum of twelve (12) credits. Student must be enrolled in programs eventually resulting in a baccalaureate degree.

Proof of financial need must be furnished by the head of the Minority Program at the applicant’s university.

Due to limited resources, Atkins is unable to make awards to fully employed persons, practicing professionals, or
others pursuing an education through extended day, night school, part-time, special week-end or other non-traditional
degree programs.
APPLICATION PROCESS Complete the Minority Engineering Scholarship Program Application based on the current school year. NO APPLICATION WILL BE PROCESSED WITHOUT THE SUBMISSION OF A COMPLETED APPLICATION AND THE FOLLOWING FORMS:
