CEE Doctoral Graduate Wins ACE Award!

At the 45th Annual "Dia del Ingeniers" Gala of the Association of Cuban Engineers (ACE) and the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers on Saturday March 3, 2007 at the Miami Airport Hilton, Dr. Michael Sadeghinia, a recent CEE doctoral graduate, was awarded the inaugural "Ysrael A. Seinuk, P.C." Award. The award that also accompanied a $5,000 check is given each year to a graduate in structural engineering with a Cuban or Hispanic heritage. Mr. Seinuk himself was honored for his structural design of the Miami Carnival Center at the same event.
Dr. Sadeghinia carried out his doctoral research on shear walls in high-rise buildings under the supervision of Professor Luis Prieto-Portar.
