Scholarships, Fellowships, and Assistantships
This accelerated combined degree program provides academically talented students an opportunity to complete a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in a shorter period of time. The BS/MS degree allows you to 'double-count' graduate courses toward both degrees, thus reducing the time it would normally take to graduate by a semester or more. The combined-degree program reduces the cost of both degrees and enhances your marketability for career advancement. By enrolling in a combined bachelor's and master's program you can earn your master's degree earlier while participating in research and taking courses not usually available to undergraduates.

With this accelerated program, students may obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering combined with a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering.

Admission Requirements
Students who have completed a minimum of 90 hours towards their BS degree in Computer Engineering and have earned at least a 3.3 GPA on both overall and upper division courses may, upon recommendation from three faculty members, apply for admission in the combined BS/MS program. For additional information on admission requirements, please click here.

Scholarships, Fellowships & Assistantships
FIU and the College of Engineering and Computing offer a variety of fellowships, assistantships, and scholarships to qualified domestic and international students. The amounts of these awards vary depending on the type of award, but they may provide full tuition and a monthly stipend. Students in this program are eligible for graduate assistantships upon admission. For additional information on this type of financial assistance, please click here.

Degree Requirements
The BS/MS Program has been designed to be a continuous program. Student must meet the degree requirements for both the BS and the MS programs of their choice. Students enrolled in the program may count up to 6 hours of graduate courses as elective credits for both the BS and the MS degree. Students will receive a BS degree and a MS degree on the same date, after requirements for both are completed. For additional information, please click here
